Today I got this nice portrait.I searched for the cap badge but I did not find from which unit it is.Maybe you can help me?

It named the " Schütze - S " , ( white runic " S" on a black rectangle ground )

it was the/ his personal insignia of KrvKpt. Victor Schütze

= on U-103 and later on U-605, both under his command..

the similar "S" it exists with a

black runic "S" on white circle ground = U- ??

and

black and white runic " S" with an u-boat emblem = U- 156

- Viktor Schütze (16.Febr.1906) U-19, U-11, U-25, U-103.
- Herbert-Viktor Schütze (24.Febr.1917) U-605.
