Wehrmacht Divisional Insignia : need HELP !

Hi Guys !! I need urgently some Help regarding a divisional Insignia in a Group of Pics I have just picked up. The only one I found which could have matched would be the 111.I.D., but this Division was created in Nov.1940 and my Fotogroup concerns both polish and France campaign....

Hi Lionel,

The insignia might be a regimental emblem. For example, 29.ID used a system of shapes and colours to denote its units. I think one motorised regiment used a circle, I can't remember what shape the other regiment used. I'll check my sources and get back to you.

I agree with Jason. Please check Schmitz/Thies volume 4, if it is available to you.
