Here is a different view of it. Hope it helps. Perhaps 44. Panzerabwehr Battalion that was part of 1st Mountain Division (Wehrmacht)? Perhaps photo was taken during the Balkan Campaign(Greece/Crete)which might explain the Hermann Meyer caps. Here is a link to Wikipedia:
