Hello all. I'm a new member and would like to share some pictures of my grandfather and the story his war experience.
Georg Wiesinger was conscripted in 1943. He served as a private in the 97th light infantry division 204th regiment.
In '43 he was in France for a time, then Poland, and was captured by the Soviets in Slovakia May 10th of '45.
He was a pow in camp #147 until his death in '46 from distrophy 3rd degree, a euphemism for being worked and starved to death.
His brother Franz
