    Fake photo, or modern reenactors?

Hello Gentlemen, what do you think about this photo?

The caption says "Italy - july/sept. 1944", but for me is a fake, or modern reenactors.

What do you think? What type of bikes are there? Is it normal the DAK emblem on a sidecar in Italy in 1944? The rear mirror on the handlebar, modern?

    Ciao, Daniele.

I'm not surprised to see the DAK symbol on vehicles found in Italy. At the end of the African campaign, the DAK withdrew from that continent up through Sicily and onto the Italian mainland, and at least some if its equipment and vehicles made the trip with them.

        Cheers,

        Br. James

Judging by the age of the first rider and weight of the second, I would agree reenactors.

The front motorcycle is an 1980's Honda trials bike - my dad had one, cannot miss the headlight. Says it all

Looks like the guy in the sidecar is getting to blast the guy in the front.

                  Hello Jimbo,
I believe that the lead 'bike is a DKW NZ350, not a Honda. Note the blade-type forks, the hand gear-change and the fishtail exhaust. It is also 2-stroke. I hope this is helpful,
                  Kerry.
