The collar patch does not meet any standard for any customs type. The device is always there in the lower part and not in the middle. For me it is RAD, but the photo is quite vague!

Hi,
My opinion is that this man is a Customs Officer - collar tabs and shoulder straps are for this branch of service, looks like he is having a good time!
Customs employees in the TR had different duties from the Customs officials today, I have a grouping from this service where the person employed was in a work camp for Russian POW's and was a guard.
He ended up in a POW Camp in France, and was released shortly after the war ended.
From the paperwork issued by the Occupation Forces he was in almost every Nazi organisation going!
