Here's a nifty sports award from the NSRL, awarded on the 28th of April 1940 for first place in what I believe was a relay race (or whatever "pair race" refers to). It has a nice impressed NSRL eagle on the cover, as well as on the inside left page, through which a braided cord runs, which is in turn attached to a metal oak leaf device. Next to this, a hand-written note in Gothic script stating "Sports comrades, Matthies and Starp(?) from the Post Sports Association. First of it's kind I've ever run across, and it was found amongst a small pile of Wehrpasses, Arbeitsbuecher, etc. A couple quick snaps below...
