hello Larister, thanks for your picture, is there a possibility that a funkkoffer was made soit could fit to 3 different 1,5t truck?
i was told (but i dont know thats why i say it here on the forum) that some koffers were made to put on phanomen granit, opel blitz and Mercedes all for 1.5 t??
as you know those branches of trucks had 1.5t on the field
the company in Germany VOLL have build koffers for radio trucks but canot find pictures from those 1.5t
      maybe other readers?
      thanks in advance

Mercedes Benz (G 3 a) possibly a nachrichten truck. Can you tell me the difference between a nachrichten vehicle and a funk vehicle. Did they do the same job?

I posted a Horch funkwagen photo here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...symbols&page=3

Here is a MB G 3 a signals vehicle with radio mast.

Although this is not a great photo I think this is in line with the thread,

Krupp L 2 H 143 (Kfz 68) with Henschel Type 33 in front of it. Note the flat antenna on the roof.

                          Hi Kerry, hi Larry,

on Your pic, Kerry, is an Opel "Blitz" 1,5 tonner type 2,5 - 32. It is not a Funkwagen, but a Vermessungswagen, a vehicle of a survey unit.

On Your first pic, Larry, the antenna is not visible. It is a Funkmastkraftwagen, a vehicle with a very high antenna pole. What we see is the grating on the roof for standing on the roof. You can see it better on Your second pic.

                          Regards

                          Bert

Thanks for the information. Would this Krupp L 3 H 163 also be called a Funkmastkraftwagen?

                              Cheers,
                              Larry
