Thanks for showing this.
I visited Mittenwald for a day and night as part of my birthday 'treat' last year.
Are the barracks still there? I know German Mountain troops are still located in the area so I presume so.

They are still there, but empty, there are no MT there anymore. Only at the "Luttensee-Kaserne", which is now a school for the army.Originally posted by chrischa View Post

Great photo. I was there for the 75th anniversary of the 1. Gebirgsdivision back in 1990 when I was living in Germany. I'll post some pictures later.
