Just got this photo. I do not recognise the medal on the ribbon. Unfortunately, magnifying does not help much. The back is marked Wien and 1943.

Could it be an Anschluss Medal? The white & black thin edge may be hard to see at first glance as it is a very thin set of lines anyway?
that said, the other thing that makes it say it isn't is the fact that it is marked "1943" - that doesn't fit with wearing the medalComment

There are some of reasons to identify it as a "Anschlussmedaille Sudetenland" ,I think.
