    What Lw div is this?

    I have seen this unit symbole before, but cant remeber where?
    Im pretty sure its a quite common symbole, so I guess I should feel a bit of a sham not knowing instantly...

    well, well...here it is

      Was actually the first unit I was thinking of. Any chance to figure where this picture is taken? Year?

        For me, it would be hard. But, those more familiar with European architecture may be able to tell you an approximate location. They started using the clock face symbol in 1940 or 1941. At the same time, on the right fender, a oakleaf symbol within a rectangular boarder was also used. The usage of the oakleaf in a rectangle was discontinued in 1941. So, time period should be sometime in 1940 or 1941. That's my guess!

          The oakleaf sign is from Flakkorps II, to which Regiment General Göring was subordinated - in Russia 1941.
