WW2 German' maps with stamps

Hi guys,i come across 3 WW2 german's maps this morning at the flea market.....please can you tell me more about what these where for ?
Stamp says Dienststelle felpost-Nr° 08309

That Fp number belonged to feldkommandantur 588, which fits in very well with the areas the maps cover.

Thank you Simon ...these maps where found near clermont ferrand ....Was the feldkdr 588 was in this town/area at one moment ?

As you can read from the link above, from Dec.43 onwards, yes it was.

Thank you simon.....i read the link but my german is near to zero so i tried to google trade it but it is a little confused with the odd traduction in french...
