Any chance to ID unit by the numbers on this panzer?

"61169" is a chassis production number, painted at the factory which made this Pzkpfw III.This might tell you what unit it served with if someone had the files from the waffenprufungsamt who tested the panzers before they were allocated to units.

When the SS-Panzer Ersatz und Ausbildung Regiment was first established, it was at Bitsch. It was later relocated to Latvia. This picture shows an outdated, early-model Panzer III, and is dated September 1943 at Bitsch. So my best guess, without being 100% certain, is that this shows the SS-Panzer EuA Reg.

Not that it helps you any but the Chassis number identifies the tank as an Ausf F.
