    SS-Ustuf. Hans-Allwin Tychsen 'DR'

Can anyone tell me if Christian Tychsen had a brother who also served in Das Reich? I've not been able to find anything online.

Christian Tychsen was born on 3 december 1910 in Flensburg. Perhaps this brings you a bit further

Yes, they were brothers, according to one of Mark Yerger's German Cross books. There were further members of the Tychse family in the Waffen-SS too.

The late Keith Bonn, Editor and Publisher at The Aberjona Press, was my good friend for many years. He pointed out to me that Tychsen is actually a common surname in southern Denmark. Schleswig was of course Danish territory at one point, and the Tychsen family of Christian (another common Danish name) and Hans-Alwyn was probably at least partially Danish in ancestry.
