Recent Find - FHQ Cufftitle in wear!

Hi,

I have found this picture a few weeks ago and since there is a lack of original images of this one in wear I want to share it.

I took a picture from my mobile phone so its not the best, I should have scaned it.

I would also like to know more about the Unit, and what shield is he wearing?

Also I speak German but I cant read a word of whats on the back!

I will be offering this item for sale in the coming weeks when I renew my membership on here - what is a reasonable price range for it?

GD never served in the Crimea (or the Kuban for that matter) so he would of been someone transferred into FHQ/GD having served with another unit in that region.

As for the unit, you are looking for Führer-Begleit-Bataillon rather than FHQ - http://www.axishistory.com/axis-nati...leit-bataillon

I have had two offers from other collectors but I am not sure it is worth it - one at 80Euro and another at 35Euro.

No idea - I am in no hurry to get rid of it as finding another wont be so easy.

While I do collect GD/FBB paperwork it doesn't extend to photos so I can not help with value I'm afraid. I think the 80 Euros offer might be nearer the mark than the 35 Euros one but I can't give an exact figure.
