    Hello VJK,

Thanks for the correction. The writing above the photo in the album says that it is von Schweppenburg so I just assumed the former owner got it right. He must have written the caption from memory and got it wrong.

    Best regards,
    Larrister

Schwertertrager and Nachtjager Ace, Werner Streib sat in the pilots seat of his ME-110, another personal favourite.

Keep this thread going guys, I am sure there are many more excellent RKT pics that can be shared on here!

      Regards Richard.

Always looking for Luftwaffe Kampfflieger related document groups. In particular anything to Kampfgeschwader 2.

OK, I have hundreds of original RK Luft winners.

        Again, Werner. Tit for tat.

These are all photos from original negatives from the propaganda ministry. Amazing clarity.

I'm looking for blown up shots of RKs that show clarity of the cross itself.

For example, Streib's RK. Enough detail to ID the maker...

Here are some very nice RK photos. First up is a RKT General standing in his Staff Car...notice the Boars head unit symbol on the fender.

Very nice photos. Does anyone know who the RKTs with Vietinghoff are?

                      Hello

The 2 pictures posted by Bill Peltz are really wonderful. Based on the comments seen below the photos, I think that we have :

                      - unidentified Ofw. from LW with DKiG (a close up might help to identify him)
                      - unidentified Major from WH with DKiG and Ehrenblattspange
                      - General von Vietinghoff (CiC Heeresgruppe Kurland)
                      - Ofw. Walter Süss (Oakleaves holder)
                      - KM member
                      - enlisted man RKT : this should be Siegfried Janz in my opinion

I will try to find the 2 unknown RKT.
                      Regards
                      Denis

Denis, our hero is Petz, not Peltz

I have the same photos of Bäke, maybe Jim sold doubles to someone (and eventually to me) or maybe from a different source. The picture was taken at Kürassier-Kaserne (Grenadier-Ersatz-Bataillon 18). I would be glad if Jim can tell me the name of the Oberstleutnant (or Major, as writing suggests) beside Bäke...

                            Hello Akira,

Hero far from it!! I've been called worse names and mispellings of my name happen on occasion and I'm sure it was a honest mistake. I've had the Baeke photos in my archives for quite some time now. I know Jim very well and if he sold you those photos I'm sure they were doubles. His collecting specialty is Heer and especially Heer Panzer. Isn't the name of that Major Ohle? at least that is what is written on the photo album page.

                            Denis,

Thanks for supplying your information. I will make note of it and no problem on spelling my name wrong...I'm sure it was an honest mistake. Regards - Bill

Sorry for the mistake, it wasn't done intentionally. Time for me to have a rest !
