Yep! His chin and nose are very unique...

        Douglas,

Sorry no writing on the reverse of the other pictures except one of RKT Major Diesing.

Here are two more RKT pics!! One of them I believe is RKT Oldenkamp - Bill

            Hi Bill,

What can I say? Great pics. Congrats!
It's GenLt Osterkamp, Jagdfliegerfuehrer LuftFl 2.

BTW it was Hptm Albert Kuntz, Fhr, PzAA2. I had seen it reproduced and offered on e-bay quite a while ago.

            Cheers

                Elwyn,

Thanks for correcting me on Genlt Osterkamp. I mispelled his name badly..I have a photo album with him as head of one of the pre-war Jagdflieger schools...one of his instructors was Werner Moelders.

That is interesting that the photo on Hptm Albert Kuntz is being reproduced.

Thanks for all the information. - Bill

                Dieter,

Great Photo on Walter Storp . Thanks for the information but Douglas had already identified GenMaj Walter Storp. Does anyone know who the other RKT is to his right?? Thanks - Bill

So who's with Osterkamp and Diesing?

                    Hello,
The officer in the centre of #258 & #259 isn't Osterkamp at all, It's General der Flieger Curt Pflugbeil.

                    Regards
                    Gareth

Gareth you are right. Osterkamp's highest rank was GenLt, where as Pflugbiel's highest rank was Gen der Flieger.

Pic was taken before 06.09.42, the day on which Diesing made RK. Pflugbeil was kmdr, IV Flieger Copr. Where's the conenction with ZG1? I stink with Luftwaffe trivia.

                      Cheers

                        Gareth,

I went and found the photo album I have of Jagdfliegerschule Wunsdorf and sure enough that photo isn't of Osterkamp. Thanks for the correction. - Bill

Here is a photo of Osterkamp (Pour Le Merite) and Oberltn. Werner Moelders and quite a few other flying instructors

Remember your reasoning above for why it couldn't be Luetzow? Look at Moelders and Osterkamp. Osterkamp is wearing his RK, 'Vatti' is not. Who won it first? Moelders.

                            Hi Brian,

That's looks more like the PLM, hung loose on the collar, IMHO.

                            Cheers

                                Brian,

Osterkamp is wearing a PLM as I have a few other pics in the album showing him wearing it. As I have stated it is a pre-War photo album!! I would think that no RK had been awarded to anyone at this point in time. Bill
