                        Walter Storp

                        Bill,

The Eichenlaubträger who appears in your posts 241 and 242 (right) looks like Walter Storp (02.02.1910 - 09.08.1981), 22nd Oakleaves winner as Kommodore of SKG 210 (Schnellkampfgeschwader 210).

                        Regards,

                        Douglas.

                          Douglas,

Thanks! Then this matches the information on the back of one of the photos of RKT Major Diesing stating he is Gruppenkommandore I Gruppe S.K.G. 210. That also means the other unknown RKT's I listed also belong to the same unit. Thanks again! - Bill

This one looks like Gunther Luetzow. Unless HVC has a better thought.

                              I don´t think so

                              Bill,

You´re welcome! In fact we should thank you for the nice pictures!

                              Brian,

Although very similar to Lützow, I don´t this one is he. By the time Storp won his Oakleaves (on 14.07.1941), Lützow was already a RKT himself - in fact he won his Eichenlaub only six days after Storp.

Meanwhile, does anyone has any tip about the guys that appear on Bill´s post #244. The guy in the middle looks familiar... I thought he could be Gordon Gollob? Any note behind the picture?

                              Douglas.

Yes I know, that's a bit of a problem as Luetzow won on 9/18/40... But that look of his is fairly unique, nicht?
