        Hi Todd,
Can you tell if the RK in post 809 is a 3/4 ring version?

          Adrian,

I honostly don't know what a 3/4 ring version of the RK is? I can try post a high res scan of the image if that will help you out.

Your captions are the wrong way round. First is Genzow then Fischer.

                            Hi Jason,

which picture are you referring to?? I'm asking, because Heinz Schwöppe is my grandfather.

                            Regards kleinerbaer

Of the 29 RK-Träger from the field divisions (soldiers who earned at least one grade of the RK serving in a Lw.Felddivision), the only possibilities this man can be are Franz Piehler or Heinz Schwöppe. I have not seen photos of either of these two man, so I just do not know. Any help in identifying this Hauptmann would be greatly appreciated!

There are some misidentifications in this photo. Dr. Ernst Kupfer is 5th from left infront. I believe that the civilian is his father and the little boy is his son. The photo was taken in St Anton, Austrian Alps, when these members of St.G.2 Immelmann were on leave in January 1943. While in St Anton Kupfer received notice he had received the Eichenlaub. The RK 3rd from left in front is Gunther Schmid; 6th from left in front is Bruno Dilley who received Eichenlaub at same time as Kupfer. 7th from left in front is Hans von Herder head of rest home in St Anton (formerly with St.G.2). 8th from left is Herbert Bauer (not 4th from left in back). I don't know the RK 4th from left in back. Bauer was shot in the jaw and you can note the wound. RK 3rd from left in back is Herbert Kaminski. Can anyone identify the others in the photo.
