Not the usual Wehrmacht picture

I saw this on Ebay and was interested due to the double ribbon bar. When I received the pic I thought it odd that there was no rank mentioned. I looked on the back and found out why . . . He's an actor in costume. Still an interesting picture.

Can anyone tell me about Paul Hartmann?

Hello David,
just found this old thread. Paul Hartmann (1889-1977) was a German actor who played a lot of officers during his career. For example, he was Rundstedt in "The Longest Day". This photo MAY be from the movie "Legion Condor" which was filmed in 1939. Hartmann played the lead role as a Luftwaffe commander. The film was never completed, though, as the war broke out.
Just a guess.
