Wound badge document!

This is my only german award document. I understand that it was awarded for the black wound badge. What is the difference in the dates?? Is the first date when he was wounded and the second is when the award document was issued?

Correct Nate , the first date ( middle of the page approx) is when he was wounded , the second one , just above the signature is the date when the doc was issued.

Just for info Nate. The award of the doc could be years after the wound and be issued from a different unit from that he was with when wounded.
