Want to go back even further?

How about a nice construction shot?

The building was completed in less than a year, you know. Quite an achievement.

        Foldout.

In the back of the book. Some select few of Speer's drawings are to be found there.

I did not realize how huge this structure was until I saw this.

But some of the most interesting pictures...

...to me, are the detail shots of the interior rooms, like this one.

I'll post some more later, but for now, I hope you've enjoyed these.

I do not think the word subtle was in Speers vocabulary.

                Thanks for sharing this

It was definetly an impresive building.

Here is a rather truncated view of the dust jacket for this title.

There are at least 4 editions of this book. The prices are all over the place.

On ABE you will find prices range from the high $200's to one example priced at over $700.

Who here wouldn't give almost anything to walk through there on opening day knowing what we know now.

                          Speer outdid himself.

Here is another shot of the book with the dustcover. You will note this one has a blue hardcover and was printed by the Zentralverlag der NSDAP, Franz Aher Nachf., GmbH in Munich.

I don't own but have seen this book in person and it's great. I do own the more current publication by Cowdery on the same subject matter.

However, the purpose of the post was to direct you to this digital imaging firm that's apparently working on a 3D model of the complex. They also have a short video demo (sans swastikas and infamous landmarks):
