Hello,
i want show you today this little group, surley not complete and not with all documents but a big history behind this papers. A perfect addon for my Afrika-Feldzugsmedaillen Collection.
Sanitäts - Gefreiter --> Lenhardt
15. Panzer Divison
Schützen Regiment 115
First, this EK2 Award Document ... signed Generalmajor Gustav von Vaerst
+/- 14 days after starting in his new job as Divisions-Kommandeur
And please check the date, so crazy ... Christmas in Africa
Second, the "Übersendungsschreiben" at once the award document for the Afrika Medal, you can read this in the text, date 15.05.1942!
I don´t know the history from this guy after 41 respectively till May 42.
And last but not least the "Liberation Provisoire", here we can see it was a SAN. OGEFR. ...
Who can help me to reorganize his history in the German Afrikakorps? ... Who have detailed informations about the 3./S.R. 115?
Of course, it is not possible to clear his personal story, but i want learn more about his unit.
Regards
Matthias
