Well Sir....you need to reread what I said as you apparently have taken what I said out of context. I was not screaming FAKE!

I believe it is good practice to consider such items from highly visible leaders of the Third Reich to be faked until verified as I stated by the experts. I'm sure many Fakes exist out there as well....by the way....I also stated that I was not an expert.

My concern was for Phil that he should make sure that the Letter is genuine by HH signature experts. I did not in any way make a personal attack on Phil.

Phil sent me a PM. I believe he understands where I am coming from as he appreciated my concerns and invited me to join in on the forum.

I know that this military forum has a lot of members and self appointed experts who always scream fake, without having any ideas or knowledge and I reccommend to do a research before denigrating another person.

      Hello all.

If it helps the current discussion, Hermann Historica offered this item with 4 other small notes back in October 2010 (Auction 60) - the price was EURO 3500.00 for all 5. Unfortunately I do not have the information regarding the actual end sale price, but for sure I do know the LOT was NOT sold for less than the reserve. I have the auction catalogue.

Its a genuine HH written item as I have already stated and EURO 800.00 is a very reasonable offer considering the price 4 years previous.

      Kind Regards

      Dave

I'd be interested to hear Max History's take on this. I also agree that with items like this there is no 100% pre-authenticated and that the reasonable starting point is healthy scepticism.

I have a feeling thats not going to happen as when he and other people are asked for there opinion they get abuse if someone disagrees - its a shame because at the end of the day it is only their OPINION people are asking for

            Hi Phil,

Just came across this now - ok, here´s my opinion:

Without any doubt a love note to Häschen with the following content:

            "Heinrich Himmler 5. II. 1940.

Alles Liebe und Gute, was ein Mensch in seinem Herzen erstreben und erfühlen kann, das wünsche ich Dir."
