    Hi Simon

On the ship picture, Why the Tripitz and not the Bismark? After looking a little closer, I assume because of the directors shown on the photo?

I'm really going on the camouflage scheme to ID the ship. Bismarck had a very distinctive pattern during her short life, the only time she had all grey at sea was during her fitting out trials in 1940. However she had a grey funnel tip then and Tirpitz had black.

        Hi!

Unfortunately, our mystery man is not Franz Boehme either. Boehme entered the Wehrmacht from the Austrian Army already as a Generalmajor. I also agree that it isn't Schörner, but I can't offer a viable alternative.

        Regards,

        VJK

          Hello guys
Regarding the 2 first photos, I am not sure that the unknown RKT on the 1st one and the officer (seemingly a general) on the second one are the same person.
If so, I would say that the second one is very close to Franz Böhme (or maybe ritter von Hengl in a lesser extent).
          Regards
          Denis

Yes it's not Schorner, I will concede that, and Thanks, Simon, for the answer, I could not see much in the paint, and do not know much about their respectiive paint histories I was looking for differences in the silouete

Thanks for all the help, it's greatly appreciated. I tried to make better scans of the glasses fellow. The ship, the horseman and the monocle man won't blow up more clearly I think. I was looking throught Speer's book for an unrelated reason and I came a across a pic of Hengl, and was thinking it might be him.

Aha, that's better. Well defintely a General der Gebirgstruppe, those litzen really threw me and Laurence was right about the glasses. Hengl or Böhme but which i wouldn't like to say.

I think your mistery General is General der Infanterie Karl Weisenberger.
