I am new to the forums and wanted to share this photo taken in the summer of 1939. It is a photo from my late father's collection he brought back from Europe after the war.

not my usual post area,...nice picture.
Could you possibly zoom in at all on the centre soldiers helmet......I can't see any liner rivet..........probably my view screen but I find this very interesting and would really love a closer look.....

I had thought you had a period photo of a helmet with a drop down liner system.

Is it possible that this picture is from the Summer of '39? I am not seeing ANY M36 uniforms, and these look like M40's at the earliest...
