Hitlerjugend Urkunde

Was it normal that children received a Urkunde when they entered the Hitler Jugend? I received one with the following text;

Hermann ***

wurde am 20 april 1942 dem Geburtstag des Führers in die hitler-Jugend aufgenommen.

Der Jugendfuhrer des deutschen Reichs, Axmann.

The document is A4 size and looks neat, with a eagle with HJ mark on top.

The question is, were such documents always given, or was it optional, for certain members?

Hi Maurice,

As far as I'm aware entry documents were given to all, upon acceptance into the HJ.

Good looking documents IMHO.

Here's one to compare, which i offered for sale on german forum.The doc from maurice looks fine and is a honest example imo.

Nice to see another example. Originality was not a question in this case, I got this doc together with some other paperwork from a German vet. I correspond with him for a while now, he was in the Kriegsmarine and paticipated in the battle of Anrhemn. His brother in law was in the SS, and is still missing.
