Model of a Commanders Regimental Hq's bunker disguised as a Russian Hut (top level). Apparently there is a second part to it as it appears that the top can be removed to reveal something inside. Either it will show what what the Hq's looks from the inside or it is used for another purpose such a desk top ornament holding documents, writing materials, maps etc.

Hi Bill ! You know what ?? I have jumped on it and try to ckeck if the Roof can be removed..... but no Treasure hided in it, it is not made to be dismounted or to put something in it.... this Item is, I am afraid, as he is, and has no real Utility !!

Thank you Bill. To be honest, I would have loved your Idea should be true !!

                Lionel,

I noticed there was an even line lengthways where the lettering is located and thought that it would be possible that the entire top could be removed to reveal something inside but I guess I'm only partially correct I've seen similar decorative items like this where the top can be removed.

                  Hi,

I think that this item is an unusual type of cuckoo clock. although I could be totally wrong!
                  Must have the answer!

                  Best wishes,

                  John.

Well, first we must take into consideration that we are talking about Lionel, so we know that this will be an amazing piece so now we can start guessing about what it is and what is hidden.

Clearly this is a gift done but soldiers to his commander to conmemorate their time in Russia.

I suppose it was not only decorative so maybe something hidden or stored in it.

Now we must take in mind the Lionel efect so................ I guess in its interior are all papers, medals, photos and more from the officers who will be a KC winner....................

Show it to us I am starting eating my fingers as my nails were finished some time ago.

I think Lionel said there is nothing inside..Maybe a Panzerknacker carved into the bottom of this or some kind of dedication to the Regimental ommander

                              Lionel,

Did you try explosives or a match? I have alot of wartime photos that show Russian Huts being blown up or on fire.
