General Schaal pic?

In your opinion, could this be General Ferdinand Schaal on this pic?
Comes from a IR86 grouping (that became SR86 from 10PzDiv wich Schall was the comander).

Mouth and nose seem to match

I don´t think so (in my opinion). Maybe he could be Johannes Schrepffer (later Generalmajor). After Polish campaign, he was given command of the 86th Rifle Regiment, but it is just an idea.

The pic is from 41-42 winter, and, if i read well, Schrepffer became general in 12.43 and loose the command of 86th in 07.40

So any relationship with 86th during first russian winter

All right, Fred. In such a case, he is not Schaal or Schrepffer. I think he could be Cord von BÜLOW, Commander of the 10th Rifle-Brigade.

According to this pic, I have to say I don't recognize him


Low ears and straigt nose, on the pic, ears are higher et nose pointing to the top
And von Bulow seems much younger

Also, my pic is showing a general leutnant (we can barely see a pip on the shoulder board)

I've been searching for a few weeks, and my main result was schaal, by physic, age, rank (2 pips in 10.41).

Still searching for another one, but hard with the hidden face.
