Now I see the notation in the page 3, strange that nothing in page 17 this is what make me a little bit confused as I think his last active unit was the one listed in page 4 bit clearly he served with the Panzer Arillerie Regiment 119.

Well, I also wonder why they did not enter his new unit Pz.Art.Rgt. 119 as the new "Feldtruppenteil"... Maybe I should do it now

Hi Jared. This Document must be part of Uffz Teuber's Group. The Lack of a Stamp on "Bat.-" or "Rgt.-" Order is common on such documents and mostly not a Problem !! (Fakers are loving the Stamps....). For me, at first Glance and without the related Div.-History, NO red Flag for this one. I have thereafter indicated 4 Points which are for me excellent Indicators. I add that the Signature, and the "pen" used for it, are both very good Signs of a doubtless original, even if I for the Moment didn't clearly identify this Officer. I keep on searching. Would you be kind enough to show us somebit more about this Grouping, for the Pleasure of our Eyes ?? Thanks ! Lionel.

That is one fine grouping I always enjoy viewing! this has been a very informative thread which I think needs to be pinned to the top and should be required reading for award cert grouping collectors as it could save a lot of money and heartache!

Nice Compliment Kev, thank you ! I don't know if the Moderators will follow your suggestion, wait and see !! Nobody can be an expert in all areas of paper collecting, especially german documents, because of the wide range of documents, the complexity, and the knowledge of the german language and the period-culture.
But some rules, without being an expert, can protect each Collectors from sad and expensive mistakes :
1) Compile documentation : list of awardees, divisional histories, that the basic point.... and the pleasure to learn and understand
2) Compare, compare, compare.... A serious Collector learns each day something new
3) Don't dream : A Paratrooper SB with 3 TDB's in Normandy can no more be found for 1000 euros. Either you get it gratis from the Family, or you pay the price for good it, the german say the "Liebhaber-Preis". The "Liebhaberpreis" for me is perhaps the "Schmerzpreis" for you.... or the contrary !!..... and even if you pay well..... the risks exists, as shown before.
4) Try to understand some important points : Especially the german abbreviation, most ignored by non german speaking Fakers
5) Don't hesitate to ask before spending bunch of $ !! The old Seller Argument "be quick, another one is waiting..." ist mostly a Lie
6) Before purchasing Sepp Dietrich's SB, find pleasure to research all informations contains in more affordable Documents. An honest SB, Russianfighter, within a battleexperienced Infantry Div., with the 2-3 basics Awards, costs meanwhile around 80 euros..... and goods reasearches can bring the Owner in a fascinating world of History.
I have already read fantastic Work from WAF - Members based on such quite "simple" Items, all what they have discovered was fascinating. I admire this Behaviour much more than just stacking Items just to say "This one costs so much " or "because I bought it for very much money by Herm.... (oops... no name...), sure it is good, because these are great experts" !!

I can only add to what Lionel said that..........AMEN, his advices will save you and all a lot of money, learn from others also from their mistakes, I purchase two groups because I think the common pieces were OK so the highlight also,,,,,,,,,,, wrong and I lost my money.

Only one small adendeum and correction, still you can dream, I have purchased some pieces in Germany for a fraction of his price in dealers sites or for what a collector think, one example, I found in 2010 at a small show this piece, see link below, and I pay 100 Euros, but you need to walk a lot, travel a lot and know a lot and this does not mean you are safe, but as Lionel said not all interesting pieces must be RK holders you can enjoy a lot of good time researching a "simple" Wehrpass or Soldbuch to a soldier who "only" won the EK II and the IAB and found some interesting facts from his career that in other way will be unknown to all.

Walter and Lionel, Thanks for the replies.

Lionel, here is a brief summary of Uffz Teubers career and some scans of the group. Teuber started out in the DRK and became a Sanits Gruppenfuehrer. He then joined the Luftwaffe and was A.Gr. 4.(H)/23 until 1942. He was transferred to a Luftwaffe Felddivision in October 1942. He then went through some unit transfers/renamings until he reached Grenadier rgt 279. This unit was fighting in the Memel area when he received his TDB. Around 27.1.45 he was evacuated down the Curonian Spit and was severely wounded on 29.1.45 by Dollkeim 20km north of Koenigsberg on the Samland Peninsula. He made it back to Germany and was captured on 8.3.45 in Dransdorf near Bonn as a member of Inf.Pz.Jag. E.uA.kp.253.

Hi Jared. Most interesting Entry in the SB !! As everyone can see, the "Panzer-Vernichtungs-Abzeichen" was first not correctly entered, without Stamp and Signature.... Probably by an unauthorized Person..... The Soldier itself ??? (as it sometimes happened in the last War Weeks). But some weeks later,on Feb.26th 45, the leutnant (Bieler ? Binder ?) confirmed it "am 20.Jan.1945. Bonn, den 26.Febr.1945. Für die Richtigkeit" with the accurate Stamp of his ersatz Unit. This Leutnant has not have confirmed without a "proof", and probably used for that the "Regiment-Befehl" you have shown us first, where the date "Jan.20th.45" is given. Nice document !! Lionel.

Here I have another TDB - "Award-Document", which is part of a group to a Feldwebel of (Volks-) Grenadier - Regiment 225. The soldier was before attached to Grenadier-Regiment 897 and managed (due to a wound he received) to escape - just to be thrown into another nightmare...
Most interesting ist that a 2nd Lieutenant (MC) signed the document as the "Chief of Staff" of the Battalion... Unusual.
Must have been a rough time in fall 1944 in France for the 16. Volks-Grenadier-Division (16. Infanterie - Division).

Will show the whole group in few days. Have to do some research to it before.

Hi Marc ! A good Start, can't wait to see more ! Concerning the I.R.897, it was destroyed in Normandy around St-Lô, and on Sept.29th 1944 officially dissolved. From this point, probably the Remnants were transferred to their Replacement Unit, Inf.u.Ers.Btl.335 which was located in Eastern France (Mulhouse/Mülhausen), and short time thereafter transferred to the 16.V.G.D., which was already approx 100km away in contact with Enemy Forces. That could be a logical Explanation. Lionel.
