They sure look like each other.
A problem is, that the first one does not wear an Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen, which I am sure he would, had he been awarded one. Today it´s not a rare badge among militaria collectors, but then it was a badge the soldiers were very proud of. Several I have talked to, held the Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen higher than the EK2.

Very close match. The chest set of badges is differently placed and the one with IAB looks older.

Thank for your Comments. If it is not the same, then I will keep the name for myself, as it is a quite unkown RKT. Anyway, the mystery remains the same, and the Mystery is the "orher unidentified", not mine.
If I don't mystaking, the Thread with the Tunic is now 4 years old..... And in 4 Years, considering the number of people collecting KC Holders, nobody would have been able to identify him ?? AKC-Holder with 3 TDB's ??
I don't exactly know what is the rearground of this photo, if this photo is a old joke, or a modern photoshop joke, but if I were the Owner of this Tunic and of this photoalbum (which is more than strange too... take a Pic with a Guy on the back, too far to be identified, and write "I'm here" .....), anyway, I would have some sorrows about the whole Story, and a bad night !

More elements to think about : This Guy was really a "Master of war" : earned a KvK.I, showing he was efficient in all non-fight areas, but was also able to drive the most modern Tank at that time (please see the Pics of the "Photoalbum"), but also sometimes get down and had at least 30 close combats Days, he also walked around with Rommel, destroyed singlehanded 3 Tanks, and was of course not captured in North Africa.

Here are some real KC Holders with THREE TDB's I came across my researches on that subject. This list is not exhaustive. Note that NONE was serving in a Pz.Gren.Unit when he received the KC. Of course I compared with the face of our "Rambo", he is none of them :

One more. Captioned "Brieg / Grüningen. Sommer 1944 (der Hptm gross Wanzel!). One Leutnant wearing a TDB on his Summer-Tunic..... One more to identify.... any Help is appreciated. This KC Holder seems to be a Captain / Hauptmann. Note he is wearing the TDB on the wrong arm/place... That makes an interesting Pic..... even better if identified ! THANK YOU ! Lionel.

The "wrong arm" photo has been around for years. I tried for several years to ID him...no luck. I was going to include him inmy book "Tank Killers".

I don't believe this Pic is "around for Years". I doubt of that, because I got more from this Guy.... and it is by far not the only Pic known with TDB sewn on the wrong arm... Sure they are Guys on the Forum able to identify him.... I met an older belgian Collector for years, name Cha......, which was able to recognize 95% of the KC-Holders just seing a Picture....

A copy of this exact same photo was sent to me to use in my book. That was in the 1990's ! THIS EXACT SAME PHOTO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you John ! After careful examination of my Pics and those from Karl-Otto LEUKEFELD available on the Internet, I am convinced you are right. Congrats and thanks for your Imput !
Personnally, I am happy that this-has-been-around-for-years-Pic is now identified, and, by the Way, in my collection.
In the 70'ies, without internet, things were for sure much harder ! Sources were hard to find, that's also the reason that many Books written in that time are often very uncomplete and full of errors. Lionel.
