Post your unknown tankiller / panzerknacker !

Hi Guys. I have a bunch of unidentified Tankkiller-Pics in my Collection. It is probably the same for other Collectors on the WAF !! I will present them here, first for the pleasure of sharing , and also with the Hope to put a Name on the Faces of these brave Soldiers who stopped Tanks with infantry Weapons.... All contributors are welcome !! Tanks. Lionel.

Lets start with this one. Dedicated on the back "Cali"..... which could mean "Karl-Heinz". This Picture has been taken in January 1944 in Heidelberg. The Leutnant belonged to the Lahrabt./Kdr.d.Panzertruppe XII.

Another one. No captions on the back, no Information at all. An important detail : the little Cord worn (with german colours) on the left shoulderboard is IMO the distinctive sign of the I.R.154 (58.I.D.).....

I agree that the award of the TDB did not always mean the award of the EK1.
          Nice pics!

Yes, I have in my collection the awards & doc's to a man who was awarded two TDB's and his only other awards were the EK2, IAB, black WB & bronze CCC.

Hello Panzertruppen. To be honest with you, I always admire people able to recognize Gold or silver TDB on black§white Pics An to say you the Truth, I have seen until now very very few original Pictures where I was convinced "It is Gold".... That the Insignia has been produced is clear to me... It was probably distributed too..... but worn ????? For Years, Günther Viezenz was almost "officially" the most succesfull tankkiller ever.... with 21 KIlls... Some People based this almost incredible Number only by Viewing the well known Pic from him with 7 Stripes..... Now it has been recognized that this "21" was a pure Fiction that Viezenz himself never confirmed.... But it is a long Debate I o not want to "restart" here !!

Here are 2 others. No Indications.... With a good Magnyfier, the SS-Guy is wearing a "Der Führer" Cufftitle. <p><img src="http://cdn04.trixum.de/upload2/J/z/JzYyvieaqtPN139697733757P1683.jpg"></p>

Some very fine photos you have posted, you may want to add your photos to this thread here about the same subject, although some men are known in the thread.

                            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=panzerknacker

perhaps you may even find some of your subjects posted in the thread showing different photos of the men? as a matter of fact using the tag word "Panzerknacker" in the forum search function as I did to find the above thread brought up two pages of related threads. happy searching!

Tks Kevin ! I have already posted in the Excellent Thread you mentioned. The Point is, this Thread deals with "all" Tankkillers, most of them are identified, some of them have been published, and some of them are belonging to official Archives like Bundesarchiv / ECPA / NARA, and so on... Moreover, none of my Questions has been answered on the Thread you mentioned, then, the goal of this one is just to compile UNKNOWN Tankkillers, private Pics, to open discussions and follow the weak indications we have to follow a Track !!
An if ONLY ONE is identified, IMO, the target will be reached !
