Chris,
The photo is dated 1926 so to answer your question...YES! Anywhere the German Army was (wartime/post war) they had a Kantine that served Beer which is true to this day. I've seen it myself whenever deployed the Bundeswehr brought their own beer and goods (or obtained it locally) to operate a Kantine. As a matter of fact I operated a Snack Bar as a PAC Supervisor for the 3/29th FA and later 1/13th & 3/12th Infantry, 8th ID that served German Beer/snacks while at Grafenwöhr and Hohenfels during the 80's.

Looks like the photographer has added some froth to their beers when printing.
Was the beer hall/kneipe still used as such when it was a postwar base?
Regards,
Chris.

Apr14 - Graf - 48 & 49 - WW1 Memorial to POW's who died in captivity on Grafenwöhr. The denkmal memorial was moved to France in 1928 along with the remains of the French POW's. Postcards postmarked 1917 & 1928. In addition...over 80 victims of the March 1945 bombing by the US Army AF were also buried in this cemetary but later removed.
Here is the link to the story of the cemetary.
