What was this table for?

Hello gents,

Does somebody have any idea what this table was made for?
I got is a gift from friend, it looks really old! I do not think it's theater or movie piece!
I think it was a german made stuff, cause the hungarian text contains grammatical errors!

my hungarian is not good enough to see the gramatical error.
i just know that even offical signs can bee wrong sometimes. did you ever seen the plate of the albanian "nágykövetség" in budapest?

Only the "u" is wrong, it would be "Szigorúan"!

No I haven't seen the Albanian embassy, but it seems promissing to check

My guess would be that this was on a train its size is the same as the frames on the sides....but it's only a guess. I'm hoping somebody will give me a concrete answer!

the "nágy"követség moved a few years ago from buda side (maybee medve utca?!), near the hösök tere, and so they changed the singn. now its written correct i think...

i just see that it should not written: "auch für angehörigeN der wehrmacht und ss..." but "angehörige"

Ja ich konnte es lesen! kein Problem damit!

As you can see there is a glued paper on it, it has same text as above, only the "Befehlshaber" is missing it's second "H"

So it is "full" with erorrs!
