Help me identify 2 Tankkillers / Panzerknacker !

    Hi Guys !

I am trying to identify some Tankkillers.... These 3 Pics from the same Officer Group has been taken during a formation from future Officers (Offizier-Anwaerter / Fahnenjunker). One Officer is wearing an "Afrikakorps" Cufftitle which probably means this Pic has been taken 42 or 43. All informations are welcome !!

The following Pics have been bought on EBay. The Seller gave me the Names of places he was in Combat. Here are they : Grusino 42-43 / Tschudowo 43 - Wolchow 43 - Südl. Ladogasee 43". Could be at first Glance 225.I.D. or 21.I.D. .... (Northfront / Nordabschnitt). His first name was "Heinz". The Portrait has been taken in Kiel november 42. He get married in Berlin (Grünau) on June 14th 1944 with "Hilde"... Interesting he first wore the GAB, then... ISA.... On the Pic taken in the Trench, he is wearing both... unusual !! One more time, ALL infos appreciated !!

No clues about the names, but I think the first pictures were taken in mid to late 1.943 as early, looks that one is wearing the CCC so no taken in 1.942 and, in my opinion, not before May/June 1.943 so I wonder if the cufftitle is an AFRIKAKORPS one.

As always wonderful photos form our friend Lionel.

    Angel
Looking for DKiG Heer winner Soldbuch who also won the TDB and/or CCC, specially in Silver.

Tks Angel ! The Cuff is 100% Afrikakorps. But your arguments concerning the date are OK. It was a 4th Pic in this Group, showing the "Studs", almost all Corporals all wearing the Officer-Candidate double Stripe on their shoulderboards.

Dear Tom !! Any Identification is a treasure for me, so If you are able to do that... It would be fantastic. Tks ! Lionel.

Look at the deep scallops or Austrian cut on the tunic pocket flaps in the last photo showing our man in the trench wearing the IAB and GAB. I would love to have that tailor made tunic! looks to me he is shown in three different tunics looking at the cut of the pocket flaps on all with the scallops growing as time goes on?

Notice the tradition Skull worn on the Schirmmütze in the 4th and 7th photos! I would say 5th Cav Rgt or 4th Cav Div. Also in the third photo I see possibly a Cavalry badge in wear and not the IAB? time to get the magnifying glass out and look for any other clues!

I do hope you are able to pin his name down Lionel, perhaps Tom will come through?

No News from Tom yet.... but I hope he will find anything. Concerning the other Guy, the Young Lieutenant with skull on the Schirmmütze, I have done further Researches. First, the places he fought are perfectly matching with the Combat Listing of the 1st.I.D. Second point : on the back of another Pic I didn't published here, is indicated the name from a "Fw Bublitz". I found a Georg Bublitz who won the German CRoss on Dec.22nd 1944 belonging to the 2./Pz.Jäg.Abt.1.... That would be matching.... It remains difficult, BUT..... if anybody has an Officer List from the Pz.Jäg.Abt.1 in 1943-44, that may help a lot !!!

Thanks Tom for the time you spent. I know you did your best. Identifying People with only few Elements is always difficult.
