Nice pic I have in an album..what is that mean on his sleeve? Looks like a bomb with wings??

It's a Laufbahnabzeichen (career badge) for the Marine Artillerie (coastal artillery). So the soldier was trained for that career.

The star badge is a Bootsmann Laufbahnabzeichen (Boatswain career badge).
