    Hitler signature help needed!

I have this document that appears to be signed by Hitler. It appears to be ink to paper. You can see the pressure marks in the ink. My question is, does this look like Hitler's signature? I'm not saying this isn't a facsimile but when you look through a loop, you can see the paper fibers pressed down where the signature is. Any help is needed. Thanks so much.

Hitler's signature changed over time. Does it look like it? Yes, but I would have an expert, and an expert only, make the basis for if your are trying to decide whether to purchase it or not. Hence, don't base it on the thousands of experts that troll around these forums.

Thanks CJ. I appreciate the fast response. I agree. I just wanted a little input before I have to shell out the $ to get it reviewed.

For your sake, I hope it's real. That item would definitely put me in the jealous catagory.

Do you think I should spend the dough to have it checked out or is it a waste of my time?

            Hi,
Do you have an image of the whole document? What kind of document is it?

As Adem says what is the document ,this will make a difference to whether it may be a auto pen or an original -- not many were ink signed

Its a Goethe Medal Certificate (For Arts and Science). This is what it reads:

                Im namen
                des deutschen volkes
                verleihe ich
                die von dem verewigten
                herrn reichs prasidenten von Hindenburg
                Gestiftete
                Goethe-Medaille
                Fur Kunst Und Wissenschaft

Sorry, I dont have a way to upload the photo right now. I'll do it when I get home.

Hate to say it, but I would wager it's lithographed. Hitler never signed in blue ink, which is the trademark of his lithographed documents. The giant blob crossing the "H" is also a telltale.

I'm shooting from the hip here as I would need to see the original...

The Goethe certificate which i once owned did have a facsimile signature.
                    Hope that helps.
                    K.

The "itler" part looks strange. It alternates between big and small cones. Is that normal for AH?

I have not personally seen many examples, though I know that many, many of the later examples were lithographed.

What was it that Charles Hamilton famously said? Something like, Hitler probably signed 20,000 documents in his life time and 50,000 of them are in the USA today. That was several decades ago, I'm sure that number has increased .....

Very true, my friend. That's one of my favorite quotes from Bud, whom I had the pleasure to befriend and deal with extensively earlier in my career. A really knowledgeable man. The number of Hitler fakes is astounding, and actually some of them are very good. I must reject dozens every year. Come to think of it, his is probably the most forged signature in the world.
