Book: Iron Cross Award Documents of World War II

Today I can finally announce that the book is at the printer. It went earlier this week. Some of you have been aware that this was in the works, and I am happy to say it is finally ready and will be available this spring. The synopsis is as follows:<O</O
    <O</O
Iron Cross Award Documents of World War II by Brian Razkauskas is the first comprehensive presentation and study of the 1939 Iron Cross award document. It features over 200 Iron Cross First and Second Class award citations and related material and dissects the documents’ various attributes, all while presenting them in historical context. Included are in-depth studies of Iron Cross award regulations, award proceedings, casualty-related awards, unit-specific awards and award document variants. It is likely to be the ultimate source for Iron Cross collectors, and Iron Cross award document collectors and researchers, for years to come.<O</O
    <O</O
The book is large format (8.5 x 11), similar in spec to RJ Bender books like Torpedo Los and Red Shines the Sun. It is 304 pages and features a whole range of EK citations as stated above. As we get closer to receiving it from the printer, I will follow up with details about preliminary ordering. In the meantime, you can reach me at info@kleinekillpress.com should you have any interest.<O</O
    <O</O
I have included a few pages below to give the sense of the layout. I purposely kept it relatively simple in design, but you will see how the text relates to the award documents and various other related images. These examples are just a taste; the best award documents are essentially held in reserve and can be seen once the book becomes available. I hope you enjoy it and I hope that it joins the list of other great collector books produced in recent years by various collectors and historians.<O</O

And, I have included a signature index that lists the general officer types whose signatures are included in the book. The text is tough to see on the forum, as the print comes across a bit blurry, but one will see that this is a who's who of high-level Wehrmacht officers. At a minimum, the book will be a reference for well over 100 original signatures

For sure a "best Seller" for all Collectors, Advanced or not. Especially interesting for the Moment, because Prices from little Groups er EK's Award docs all alone, have sunk in the 2 last Years. IMO an excellent Oportunity for Young Paper Collectors to start an interesting Collection, with Brian's Book as support ! The "Iron Cross" had always a strong significance in Preussen and Germany from 1813 to 1945 !! Congrats !! Lionel

Guys - Thanks for the responses and messages. I really hope it is a success as it is something the collecting community has needed for a long time. Per Lionel's comment, I definitely tried to make it attractive to all levels of collectors - it gives a great background for the novice collector but will be invaluable to even the most advanced award document enthusiasts.

                        Thanks again and stay tuned...

After some minor delays, the preliminary books have arrived and look great!! I expect the entire shipment to be in New York by the first or second week of June. Now that the book is officially on its way, I wanted to begin the sales and pre-orders.

                            Regular Book Price = $110 + S&H<O></O>

The book with packaging weighs approximate 3 lbs., 10 oz.

Domestic shipping will be available via Priority Mail ($17) or Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation ($7.50). International mail pricing will vary by destination.

Having received one of the preliminary books I can only confirm what has been said before. It has been well produced with excellent images and narrative covering so many areas relating to the EK citation. This book will be an excellent addition to the libraries of anyone who not only has an interest in the EK but also in German WW-2 citations in general.
