    German D-Day Propaganda Leaflet. Opinions,please?

    Gents,

Not my area of expertise. Any help would be very useful, please.

Genuine leaflet? It's newspaper size and one sheet. It speaks of the destruction of allied invasion forces on D-Day 6th June 1944.

    Size 15 inches x 22 inches. (40 cm x 56 cm).

    Best Regards,
    Bob.

As you can see, English language on one side and German on the reverse.

        Best Regards,
        Bob.

Looks good to me, maybe a reprint though, they are not un common it seems if you look on the internet
Puzzles me why its in English as well

I have some similar newspapers printed in the Channel Islands, German on one side and English on the reverse

            Hi,

Looks good to me, many propaganda leaflets were dropped on German forces during these times.
I have several examples of these, and this one looks OK.
            A good period original!

            Best wishes,

            John.

              Hi (again)!

Many of these late-war leaflets were printed in German and English because neither "side" could understand each other!
Recipients of these leaflets had a common understanding that they would be treated correctly (not always, particularly by USA forces) and be placed in a POW Camp until the end of the war.
This is why they are written in English and German.
It is easier to tell people what to do when you communicate, rather then bomb people out of existance!

              Best wishes,

              John.

I understand all that, but these were not printed by the Allies were they ??....
