    Sorry for my bad English...
"25. memorial day for crossing the Rhine near Wesel"
Kurt Student, Generaloberst and commanding officer of the German Fallschirmtruppe
    Karl? 1. Bundesleiter
    ?
Oswald Finzel (former Major of Fj), 2. Bundesleiter
    Wesel, ... 1970
    Bund deutscher Fallschirmjäger

    Kind regards, Peter

The name of the "1. Bundesleiter" I read Karl Schneider.

The name right of the "2. Bundesleiter" I read "..Fr. Meyer..."

Would you say this sounds correct ?

"In memory of the 25th anniversary day of the Rhein crossing near Wesel" signed by Kurt Student and the president and vice president of the Federation of German Paratroopers in 1970

Just been flicking through the book, I have noticed its also signed by Major Oswald Finzel

He has signed it something 1944, I cannot make it out, any ideas please ?

                Nice little find I think

                    Thanks Peter

Strange how he signed it Nov 44 when the book was post war ?

                    Cheers M

May be the portrait drawing has to be dated November 1944.
