Who is this GC holder?

I have this in my collection...who is this German Cross holder? (there is the name on the back side but it is difficult for me to read it as it is written...
can someone help me?

The caption reads "Xander," but it is actually Hans Sander, the first commander of SS-Panzer Artillerie Regiment 10, which was forming when this spring 1943 photo was taken. Sander had held the DKiG since October 31, 1942.
