    Hermann Fegelein

I have an offer to purchase signed photo of Hermann Fegelein, since I am still in doubts, I would like to ask audience of this board for opinion. Original or fake and if original, what would be the value ... .

    Many thanks in advance.

First of all the sig is on the dark horse which makes is very difficult to make out for sure. Most important the subject of the photo is not one that I would spend as much on as say one of him in uniform with decorations.. Tom

If I was going to forge Fegelein I would choose a photo like this. Not that this makes it wrong.

I agree with that. Now that Max H no longer posts we will not hear from The Authority.

My problem is the left bow of "F" to the left, since in case of known original signatures the bow is round and in the case of this signature it is pointed .... .

Anyone has original signature from Hermann Fegelein in his collection?

Frankly, I would avoid this one. Even from what I can see of it, it doesn't look good. It looks closer to what Jeremy would call "factory" stuff.
            Regards!

Many thanks to all who replied, I am also afraid, that the signature is a fake and therefore decided not to purchase... . Many thanks for confirmation of my fears!

                  Fake

Just caught up with this... Looks fake to me - here are the fake factory examples to compare with.

I can say this having no clue or care why there was animosity between certain members, it's a shame he isn't posting currently.

The original photo doesn't even look like Fegelein to me. maybe the protection is obscuring it too much but the chin looks to pointed.

                      Hello Jeremy.

Thanks for sharing a fake example.

Why would someone think a Fegelein signature on a photo of a distant Heer officer be creditable anyway?

                      Regards,
                      Chris.
