    Kavallerie Wound badge document ?????

    G'day All

    I would like some info on this Kav wound badge document.

      Nice looking document... I see no problems.

      Friedrich was a member of the Fla-Schwadron of schwere Kavallerie-Abteilung 3 which was a part of the 3. Kavallerie-Brigade.

      He was wounded on the Ostfront, and a little bit more research on that Division should show you exactly where they were fighting. The document was drawn up 2 months after he was wounded in a Reserve Lazarett (a closer view of the stamp should show you which one).

      Edit: Simon beat me to it... Here's a little more info for you though.

          Looks like the hospital was Reservelazarett Beuron, in Kreis Sigmaringen. A six-hundred and ten bed facility.
