Yes, I think this piece stands a good chance of being 'real.' During the war years, the Propaganda Ministry issued daily admonitions to the German public to "fight for freedom," "carry on valiantly" and to "hold out until victory is ours." This is an example of one of those official requests for strength in time of adversity -- a New Year's Day 1942 call for perseverance at a time of mounting hardship for the German people after more than two and a third years of warfare.

          Hi M,

Yes, please do; I'm sure we'd love to see more pix! As for the rarity of this piece, others here may be better informed than I am and able to comment further, but IMO I don't think they were at all rare back in the day, but today...70+ years later...few examples seem to have survived. Paper is, well, paper, after all!

                looks right to me.
They can look in really good condition (they are small enough to be protected over time by accident between other flat items like large books)all the way to really trashed condition.
I have not heard of Wochenspruchens being faked . Im Sure they could be, but most of the time they are so affordable, I like to think they fall under the faker's radar.

I find these things very enjoyable, and don't break the bank.

Try and put it in a acid free backing and large mylar plastic sleeve if you can.

I doubt anyone would fake these and put them on paper that does not glow under blacklight as it must not make sense cost wise., so try a blacklite, to really be sure.

Thanks for the input Michael, I will try and find some acid free backing material

The poster is about 35cm x 24cm, I did not mention in original post
