Painted color portrait of Hitler

Another member sent me a pm with questions about this color portrait of Hitler. So here I present it in this thread. It is not the actual painting but one of many original WWII productions (on wooden plate, not canvas). Original painted by Walter Einbeck. On a WWII documentary I have seen an identical painting in a restaurant here in Oslo, Norway. I don’t know if this is the actual painting I now have in my collection. I bought this from a militaria dealer here in Oslo around 2002. Price: $200. So not expensive at all and I still have this in my “war room”

Among the many interests I have in this area is my drive to collect color images of Hitler on postcards.

This very pose is by Professor H. Knirr and was offered in many forms ranging from postcards to prints, to faux paintings. They were sold through the auspices of Heinrich Hoffmann and are listed in many of his catalogues. There are also same/similar images that are close up and 3/4 full length views.

Your example is yet another effort to pay homage to Hitler.
