Wartime Nurse in Uniform

Found these two portrait photos today while browsing in an antique shop and had to buy them. I found this lady to be quite stunning.

Here she is in her (presumably) graduation photo (by J.E. Purdy Co. Inc./Boston) as a Registered Nurse, and then in a vintage WW2 portrait (by Gainsboro Studio/Salem, Mass.) in U.S. military uniform. Her name is Eileen Gillespie.

Don't know anything about the U.S. military uniform she is wearing. If anyone cares to comment on that, I would be interested in hearing more.

In any case, I hope that you enjoy seeing these portraits.
