The well known "archive photos"..He doesn´t claim that they are original and the price is the price of a repro too. I don´t see a problem here
I disagree.
They should be marked as fake/repro. If a seller leaves out the word 'authentic' thats not enough to get them off the hook in my view. The basic assumption is that items are genuine unless marked otherwise.
They are well known fakes - but not so well known to newer & less experienced collectors. I think letting people sell repros without declaring them is a slippery slope. I also think a fair price for a clear repro/fake would be 1 eur not 10eur.
Hi.
I understand as the word a fake or repro the new made thing.
These photos were printed in huge quantity long ago. And many photos repeat.
I make impression that you understand as the original photo only once printed photo.
???
If I photograph myself for example and I will print this photos in big quantity, it will be repro or a fake, except very first.
???
If you see that these photos a fake, prove that they a fake.
It isn't enough only your words.
Make expertize and show to all visitors this document where it will be specified that is new photos(repro-fake).
Pretty much the worst answer you could have given..
You know that they aren´t original photographs, thats why you offer it for 10 bucks. So why would you want to tell long time collectors that these are originals, thats ridiculous.

Ahaha. Funny guy. I think he is also one of the biggest "experts" in the III Reich photography.
For a start you take in hand these photos, make expertize, show me this document confirming your judgement.
And only after that say to me and another that it is a remake or a fake.
You didn't convince me. I am not an expert, I am a collector.
P.S. What do you imply the word ORIGINAL, rather military photos? Good question.

I don't need to buy your items to know that the photographs you are selling at 10EUR a pop (per your sales links above) are all well known mass produced crude fake pictures.
There are literally dozens and dozens and dozens of threads on this forum as well as many others on the exact subject of 'russian archive fakes' going back several years. The only people who are fooled by them are new collectors.
These are not wartime prints. They are not original in any way. They are recent mass produced, according to most anecdotal evidence usually originating from Russia/Ukraine & East Europe.
The dishonest implication in the selling setup (spiel) is that they have been released from a massive Soviet archive, implying that they were stored there by the Soviets and then released when the Soviet Union fell and the archives were made available. There is no credence to this.
These are fake photographs with fake stamps, fake illegible scribbles and artificially aged. They date from I'd guess no earlier than the year 2000. They are not what you are selling them as. Adverts for 'Russian Archive Fakes' should either be in the Bazaar section or else not permitted. We are not talking about one photo or one person getting ripped off by the sum of a 10Eur note, we are talking about a bogus seller who, if permitted to continue peddling these fakes on unwitting sellers will lower the tone of the entire photo sales forum. And where one gets away with it others are likely to try their hand too.
In case you are looking for additional reading material here are another few threads on the same 'Russian Archive fakes' which you are currently peddling on WAF :
The sales threads have been moved to the Bazaar section in view of the overwhelming documentation presented here.
