Strange looking bunch????

This group sure look part of an axis military unit but i have no idea were from, and the fella on the right is wearing a very large award on his uniform, an interesting shot, does anyone have any ideas on the unit? Pete.

Interesting picture. I wonder if he is wearing a version of this piece. I only have the one from 1941 but there were ones for 1942, 1943 + 1944. It has a diameter of about 6 cm.
