Hello everyone,
Martin and Marlies (Marie-Luise) seem to got to know each other in the Rasse- und Siedlungshauptamt in 1942 and married shortly after. Marlies served as a secretary there and SS-Untersturmführer Martin Christoph with Stab/Reichsführer-SS.
Martin Christoph was heavily injured at the Eastern Front on 6.9.41 after overran by a Russian "Kampfwagen" (as he states in his CV) and was taken back from the front to serve in Germany. He had to go to Junkerschule Bad Tölz in November 1943 and was planned to serve as a instructor after that. However, they decided he is fit enough for combat again so they sent him to Kurland with SS-Panzer-Brigade Groß. His tank was badly hit on 8.8.1944 and a shell splinter insured Christoph´s head. He managed to get on one of the last ships which left Kurland in 1944. Back home in Germany they sent him to SS-Panzer Ausb.u.Ers.Rgt which was in Böhmen at this time.
Christoph survived the war and stayed together with his wife.
A story I just have to share!
Here is a picture of the entire grouping which turned up in a small antique shop just around the corner. SS-Untersturmführer Martin Christoph was from my area by the way.
I won´t bother you with all of the 300 pictures but these might be worth posting for reference, too.

Oh, and that is my favorite photo of this grouping. Looks like someone asked the wrong question to the Spieß!
Enjoy!
Klaus
