Very interesting. Many thanks for posting HMS ILLUSTRIOUS was lucky to survive WW2. She was hit my German and Italian bombers in the Mediterranean, and was damaged badly by a Kamikaze in the Pacific. Oh, and a serious collision at sea!

Of the Op "Pedestal", a large-scale attempt of the brits to save Malta which has actually saved Malta the fanny, are despite the heavy losses.
The aircraft carrier is then not the "Illustrious" but the sister ship "Victorious".
The clearing up was probably a little unsatisfactory there. (or one couldn't be looked too far in the cards)

Embellishes if you like the pictures, I will pass her on well.
